Quality Industries, founded by Robert & Georgianna Russell, began operations in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1972 and was incorporated in 1974. Stainless steel food service equipment was the company’s first product line, soon followed by Class 7 & 8 truck component parts. The company has since diversified into various commercial and industrial markets and has evolved into a highly functional, integrated contract manufacturer, providing quality component parts, sub-assemblies and finished products to a diverse and growing customer base.
In 1984, the company moved into a new facility in LaVergne, Tennessee. In the years 1997, 2000, 2004, 2005 and again in 2006, the company added to their plant increasing the total manufacturing area to approximately 250,000 square feet. The manufacturing plant includes powder paint lines, 5000 watt lasers, robotic welding cells, CNC punches, press brakes, stamping presses (up to 600 ton) and integrated assembly and finishing cells.
Quality Industries has reinvested in the organization and implemented a growth plan that adds both capacity and capability utilizing some of the latest in manufacturing equipment and technology, integrated with innovative manufacturing processes and methodologies. The focus of this investment strategy is producing high quality fabrications that are cost competitive and at the same time reduce the risk of operator fatigue and/or injury.
Quality Industries has long been proactive in the fields of environmental and safety compliance and has strived to set an example for other companies to follow. One such action is the deliberate avoidance of hazardous processes that use heavily chlorinated solvents and heavy metal pretreatments. The facility is also monitored for environmental and safety compliance by a full time environmental engineer who is also certified in industrial safety and hygiene. Employee safety teams continually review the facility and processes for safety violations and opportunities for improvements.
The mission of Quality Industries is to be a world-class manufacturer of metal fabricated products and services. We believe in the development of highly skilled team members committed to continuous improvement, and are dedicated to excellence through quality performance for the mutual long-term success of our customers and ourselves.
