Quality Industries was named as winner of the 2007 Excellence in Manufacturing Award for Overall Excellence in Manufacturing in the Large Manufacturer category.
The Excellence in Manufacturing Award is presented by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Lattimore, Black, Morgan & Cain, P.C., and the Nashville Business Journal. The award honors Middle Tennessee manufacturers that excel in manufacturing productivity, processes and human capital.
"The manufacturing community accounts for more than 78,000 jobs in the 10-county area and is without a doubt one of the strongest segments of the regional economy," said Judy Cline, vice chair of existing business and workforce development for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. "As such, we felt it important to begin a tradition of calling attention to those manufacturers who were models of success, and then go about sharing some of their best practices to benefit the larger community."
